Title: Second chance Author: SSX Disclaimer: Not mine, don't sue, you know the drill Notes: This is covered, from top to bottom, on delicious spoilers for the ending of Magiren. If you haven't watched it yet, then don't say I didn't warn you. I'm also a bit dusty in my english, so feel free to yell at me at whatever reason, preferably about my grammar, the abuse of periods and my lousy sentences. =P -- As Hikaru and Urara sat down in the sand, Ozu Urara reflected about what had happened in the last 24 hours. They really hadn't had the time to enjoy themselves. Their wedding, ever so rushed, had to be interrupted; Rin's arrival was a slap from reality, reminding them of the dreadful battle ahead. But now, after N-Ma's downfall, the three worlds were at peace again; it finally was their time, not as teacher and student but as husband and wife, to discover their newfound love. Their family had already left home, leaving the two magicians on the beach where everyone celebrated the battle's outcome. Urara and Hikaru appreciated the gesture and left to a particular spot where they could talk at ease. "Hikaru-sensei-- no, Hikaru-san." Urara spoke first, her eyes fixed on the sea in front of her. "Is it okay if I call you that?" "Of course, Urara." Hikaru beamed at her, satisfied. "What did you want to talk about?" "Well..." At last, she looked at him and held his gaze. "We haven't had time to ourselves ever since our wedding, and I thought we--" Urara couldn't finish the sentence, but she knew very well Hikaru had understood. Hikaru pressed a finger lightly against her lips, interrupting her. "Urara, I'm sorry about everything you went through. I know it must've been hard for you back then, to see me like that." "It was", she said, as she remembered how painful it was to see Sungel's corpse, like a broken doll discarded into the garbage bin. "But there's nothing to forgive... I'm happy. I really am. I'm grateful we're both here, and I'm grateful we were given a second chance." "So do I." Hikaru leaned closer to her and, without so much of a warning, pressed his lips against hers. Urara was taken aback by the sudden motion, a gentle but passionate kiss that was meant to convey all of his bottled feelings. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment, her body moving towards his as he sought to hold her in his arms. Hikaru was the one who broke off first, his face mere inches away from hers. "We never did have that kiss at the church, did we?" he whispered, holding her tightly as he spoke. Urara smiled mischievously. "I think this would do." ~ end Dedicated to Javi, who'd probably kill me if he knew I was off writing this instead of hanging out at Gauntlet lvling up my Wizard. :P Love ya too.
